PERPLEXING VIEWS


wallowing in self-absorption.
situation comedy with twist.
serious lack of concentration
may lead towards self-pity.

jury still out; guilty of messing
up a real good thing.
for a change of pace,
will pursue husband spanking.

no symbolism implied or suggestion.
but day still young, so who know?
might be on to something here.


the sea was rough. then the sea was not.
seas was asleep. then sea woke up,
and got rough again. and that,
friends, neighbors and alligators,
is sum total what sea is, 
or always has ever been about. 


never understood why folks find
social media so appealing;
laying their lives wide-open
for all the world to see. 

the arts, yes, understandable,
but personal business?


a bit antsy about ants.
qualms over little things.
little crawly things gets
adrenaline pumping
and feet fast running.

running now, am running.
bugs everywhere! run, run, run!
crawly things have rights, too. 

we need think on this.
where's the bug spray?
spraying now, am spraying.

and "nonetheless" has no business here,
and will not be featured; sorry.
no I'm not. why should I be sorry.

MOTIVATION

humans need motivation. without motivation, humans stagnate. stagnation breeds madness. madness: burning, burning bright. what magnificence! sunrise! sunset! eloquence of such loveliness. ride high in spirit of the mind. then there are those folks either unable to read a map, or unwilling to read a map. no, much to simple, when something so simple can be turned into something so confusing and absolutely frustrating. maps show one road leading from point A to point B. following road makes it almost impossible getting lost. now, these folks use step by step, computerized directions and become hopelessly lost. it is at times like these, find it quite refreshing having a  good loud scream! look at a freaking map, people? cannot get any easier than that. okay, then, have had that scream. feeling much better.  retreating into one's self and finding comfort there is, indeed, greatest of all comfor

NEUROTIC
