MOMENTARY LOSS

momentary loss of one's good sense.
looking substantially like more
than a simple hick from podunk
in dried up has-been old town.

there, have stepped in again, haven't I?
ah, but, alas, time just keeps running
on and on, leaving us fumbling,
mumbling for answers, for which
no substantial answers exist.

just another dog and pony show;
mythology based. not coming down
on dog and pony shows. but
time is what they is, and ain't
no backing up, redoing what's
already been done and gone.

and that's about all history will show.
not that anyone will aspire
knowing any differently as
winds cover our history
in fine layer of dust and ash.

ah, to be young again.
start all over, but this time
without all the mistakes
made first time.

dream on, dreamer.
dream on and on.

holding conversation with
dumb; do not expect
intelligent communication.

but kiss me where it hurts,
will promise never ever
bringing up conversation
of our last epic romantic
episode in Walmart restroom.

summer weather,
bordering on purgatory.
park one's butt on
block of frosty ice.

proverbial walk through
hell.
they can keep those
desert temps.

giveth this old man
snow, ho, ho, ho.
oh, whip me, mama.
I'm on fire.
