boredom births mindless chitchat. most everyone, and them and they do this, frequently. infamous in all things boring; devoid of straight talk. let's not talk intimidation. for some explicable reason, intimidation outranks mindless chitchat a dozen to infinity. and then, adrenaline kicks in, kicking boredom clean out  of sight and out of mind. if it looks bad, don't look at it. twenty minutes till midnight. twenty minutes later: midnight, of course. but this old fart, sleeping, knows none of this, and could care even less. have not waited up to cheer in a New year for years upon years and years. too many years to ponder over. with no plans on changing this routine anytime soon.,  cheers. monstrosity rides fire-eating raging red bull. dilapidation follows, but at a safe distance. annoyance stayed home for this prestigious event. after all, annoyance had nothing to invest. chance meeting with devil on a bus coming from nowhere, and going nowhere. and going nowhere faster than hell. knew devil was the devil, when devil stood up and shouted: I'm the devil! well, this didn't sit well with that old lady sitting a few rows forward. she turned around and shouted: shut the hell up and sit the hell down! and devil did just that: sat the hell down and shut the hell up.  pleasing, immensely, that poor fellow with the hangover trying to sleep it off.  postmortem reflexes? wonderful. what beneficial for some, damned headache for many others.
